Xiaomi always brings something different. Not long ago, Xiaomi has added Redmi Note 11S to its lineup in February this year. Xiaomi Redmi Note series has always been a big hit since its launch. Redmi Note 11S comes with three storage alternatives- The base variant comes at Rs.16,499 accompanying the other two variants which you’ll get to know about later in the article.

Unfortunately, there’s a major miss on the 5G connectivity part. It is a 4G smartphone. In this article, we’ll see whether this device could match up to our expectations? Without any further ado, let’s dive into the technical specifications and features.

Design & Display

Speaking of the design, it’s very sleek. At the front, it’s got the protection of Corning Gorilla Glass 3 coupled with IP53, dust, and splash protection. In terms of display, it meters a 6.43-inch AMOLED display since it offers better viewing angles, with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, a 90Hz refresh rate, and an 84.5% screen-to-body ratio. Moreover, it comes with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

Sadly, the phone doesn’t support HDR10. You’ll only be getting a regular WideVine L1 certification for consuming HD content. It has an aspect ratio of 20:9 to enhance the overall experience. It is light in weight and weighs about 179 grams.

Quad-Camera Setup At The Rear

It comes with a quad-camera setup along with an LED flash. It is capable of recording 1080 pixels of videos at 30 frames per second. The AI mode manages to enhance colors and makes pictures distasteful. I’d suggest you should click images with AI turned off to have finer color accuracy.

Main Camera

It contains a 108-megapixel main camera sensor featuring an aperture of f/1.9. This quad-camera setup comes with added features like HDR mode and panorama mode.

Ultra-Wide Camera

An 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera with f/2.2 aperture coupled with a 118-degree field of vision. It lets you expand the camera view much wider than the Wide-angle Camera does.

Macro Camera

It comes with a 2-megapixel macro camera of f/2.4 aperture that lets you capture close objects with more details.

Depth Camera

It comes with a 2-megapixel depth camera of f/2.4 aperture that creates a slight depth of field (you can call it ‘blur’) separating the background from the subject.

Single-Camera Setup Equipped At The Front

It comes with a 16-megapixel selfie camera with an aperture of f/2.4 for capturing picture-perfect selfies. Apart from that, the front camera is also capable of recording 1080 pixels of videos at 30 frames per second. Selfies come out fine. Sometimes the skin tones are conflicting, but otherwise, there is nothing to grumble about here.

Processor and Operating System

It operates on MIUI 13 on top of Android 11 and packs an octa-core 4G processor, MediaTek Helio G96. This processor is a minor advancement on last year’s Helio G95 chip. The performance is good as for the price but, don’t expect too much. Ultimately, it is a budget phone and comes with a few restrictions. You won’t get disappointed in everyday use. You won’t be facing any lags while running various apps, streaming content, or just replying to messages. You can also run games at basic graphic quality.

Storage

It comes with a base variant that features 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage at a price of around Rs.16,499. The mid variant comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage at a price of around Rs.17,499. The top variant comes with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage at a price of around Rs.18,499. Moreover, you can expand the internal storage by up to 1TB.

Battery

Redmi Note 11S comes with an enormous 5000mAh battery that can last for a day. You’ll be getting a 33W fast charger that can fully charge the device in about an hour. Redmi Note 11S comes with an enormous 5000mAh battery that can last for a day. You’ll be getting a 33W fast charger that can fully charge the device in about an hour. If you will play games, watch movies continually, then by the end of the day, you will still be left with some battery and I think the battery won’t interrupt much in your daily tasks. You can easily stream your favorite shows, play your favorite games without worrying much about the battery.

Connectivity Options

Speaking of its connectivity, it comes with a dual Nano-SIM with 4G support. Furthermore, it has Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band, Wi-Fi Direct, hotspot, Bluetooth 5.0, and USB Type-C 2.0 together with sensor support such as an accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass.

Conclusion

To be honest, if we look at the processor, the camera, the battery, or the display. As per my opinion, the smartphone is integrated with a powerful chipset that will perform well enough by all means. Besides that, you don’t need to worry about the battery as well. It is an enormous battery and can easily last for at least a day. According to me, it is a great and must-buy deal if you’re seeking something dynamic and reasonable at once.
