The Redmi Note 11S comes with a MediaTek Helio G96 chipset with three storage options. The device also has a 5000mAh battery along with 33W charging support.
Vivo has also launched U20 under the same price segment. The device will cost you around Rs.20,000. We are going to compare the specifications and features of both devices and figure out, which smartphone is better.

The all-new Redmi Note 11S is 179 grams in weight and comes with a thickness of 8.1mm. The Vivo U20 weighs 193 grams and is heavier than Note 11S with a thickness of 8.9mm.

The Redmi Note 11S comes with a big 6.43-inch AMOLED display whereas the Vivo U20 features a slightly bigger screen metering a 6.53-inch IPS LCD. The Redmi Note 11S comes with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels whereas the Vivo U20 comes with a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels.

The Redmi Note 11S features a quad-camera setup at the rear, including a 108-megapixel wide camera lens, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera lens, a 2-megapixel macro sensor, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor along with an LED flash, HDR mode, and panorama mode that clicks up to the mark pictures. On the other hand, Vivo U20 comes with a triple camera at the rear, which comes with a 16-megapixel wide sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor along with an LED flash, HDR mode, and panorama mode. On the Vivo U20, you can record 4K videos at 30 frames per second. Talking about the camera performance on both devices, it is pretty decent. Both devices contain a 16-megapixel front-facing camera. In my opinion, I’d like to give a thumbs up to Vivo U20 in terms of recording 4K videos since it has an upper hand in this case.
Redmi Note 11S Vs Vivo U20: Operating System
Redmi Note 11S runs on MIUI 13 on top of Android 11. Conversely, Vivo U20 operates on Funtouch 9.2 on top of Android 9.0. As far as an operating system is concerned, both devices offer a more refined look and are different in terms of the interface but both are easy to use. Moreover, it looks clean and visually appealing.

The Redmi Note 11S comes with three storage variants, 6GB of RAM, 64GB of on-deck storage, 6GB of RAM, 128GB of on-deck storage, and 8GB of RAM and 128GB of on-deck storage. Moreover, you can expand the internal storage by up to 1TB. On the other side, Vivo U20 comes with two storage variants- 64GB of on-deck storage and 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of on-deck storage and 6GB of RAM. In Vivo U20, you can expand the internal storage by up to only 256GB. I’ll give a thumbs up to Note 11S for providing better storage options.
Redmi Note 11S Vs Vivo U20: Processor
Redmi Note 11S is powered by an octa-core 4G processor, MediaTek Helio G96. With this processor, you can expect a decent gaming experience. Whereas, the Vivo U20 is powered by Snapdragon 675. It is also an octa-core 4G processor. To be honest, the Snapdragon 675 chipset does not assure you a good gaming experience. MediaTek Helio G96 has better CPU, GPU, display, and memory support and is the newest chipset than Snapdragon 675.

Both devices are packed in by an enormous 5000mAh battery. The only difference comes from the fast charging part. The Redmi Note 11S is coupled with 33W fast charging support that fully charges your device in about an hour. On the contrary, the Vivo U20 is coupled with 18W fast charging support. In the case of the battery, I would like to give a thumbs up to Note 11S since it has an upper hand in offering more power output for fast charging.
Redmi Note 11S Vs Vivo U20: And The Winner Is?
In my point of view, the Redmi Note 11S offers more storage options, a better processor, the best display, equipped with the latest Android version, and an excellent overall user experience. On the contrary, Vivo U20 offers an old Android version and an ancient operating system. If we talk about the price, both devices come under the price segment of around Rs.20,000. To lay it on the line, the all-new Redmi Note 11S is a clear winner.
